Relentless rains not a blessing to local growers

For crop producers, rain can be both a blessing and a curse.
During a drought, like the one we had in 2011, farmers in Panhandle were praying for rain.
But lately, most local farmers have been praying for just the opposite. They want the rain to stop.

Twenty-eight graduate from BHS, FPC

On May 3, Frank Phillips College held its annual commencement ceremonies. At this event, 28 Borger High School students were able to graduate three weeks prior to their high school graduation at BHS.

Local students win Phillips 66 scholarships

HOUSTON — Two students from Hutchinson County are among the 54 high school seniors who will receive a $16,000 college scholarship from the Phillips 66 Dependent Scholarship Program.
