Borger v. Pampa alumni fundraiser game

Come out to the BHS Gym on Saturday, June 15 where Borger and Pampa alumnis will take on each other for a good cause.
Dontrae Butler, BHS running back is leaving July 5th to play for Team USA. Money raised from this basketball event will go towards his expenses.
Admission is $5 at the door. Girls will play at 5 p.m. and boys at 7 p.m. There will be full concession.
Dontrae’s mom, Ladonna Johnson, has been heading up many fundraisers for her son. “He has worked so hard for this, and we would love to see a packed gym,” she said.

Borger's BEAST Program underway

From Coach Amy Hall: Borger ISD's first combined boys and girls high school and middle school summer athletic development program started on Monday, June 3rd at 6:30 am with 68 athletes attending the first session. By 10:00 am, over 115 athletes had gone through one of the three one and a half hour sessions.

Head men's basketball coach Chris Hackett is happy to announce that his basketball camp is coming up soon and it is not too late to register! It will be held June 3-6, 2013 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the BCAC in Borger.
The camp is for boys ages 7-17 and will teach fundamentals, divide into leagues, hold competitions, and give out prizes and certificates.
Early drop-off will be available. Lunch and concessions will be provided at the camp each day for the campers.

BHS volleyball standout Haley Armstrong commits to University of Texas at Dallas

Borger senior Haley Armstrong will be signing on to play volleyball with the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. According to Haley's mother, she made the commitment several months ago, but her official signing will be held at the Amarillo College gym on Thursday at 4:30.
A feature on this young lady and this great accomplishment will be in a coming issue of the BNH.
