As of 3:20 pm, traffic on Hwy 136 between Fritch and Amariilo has been stopped. A car was hit by a McLane semi head on, cops are on the scene. Borger News Herald is on the scene, and will report more information as it comes in.
Wendy Davis, State Senator and Greg Abbot’s opponent for the office of Texas Governor in the 2014 election, stopped by Fernando’s Mexican Restaurant in Amarillo Friday evening to meet and speak to supporters about her plans for the state and her Texas Panhandle roots.
On March 18th, the Borger City Council voted unanimously in favor of allowing local bars to stay open until 2 a.m.. Now, the first of those establishments are beginning to put this new ruling into action.
The Amarillo City Council approved a proposal at their meeting Tuesday evening to allow the City of Borger to purchase a portion of the water it is allotted daily by the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority.
