NEWS: Family disagreement takes violent turn

FRITCH - A family disagreement took a violent turn in Fritch on Sunday.
According to Chief Deputy James Qualls of the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred in the 200 block of Pawnee in Fritch.
During an argument, a fight took place in which Brent Dickinson, 39, was shot twice. When deputies arrived at the scene, with the assistance of the Fritch Police Department and officers from the National Park Service, Duane Wood, 57, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence).
Chief Deputy Qualls said Dickinson was transported to Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger where he was stabilized. From there, he was air lifted to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo where he is listed as being in critical condition.
Wood was transported to Hutchinson County Jail where he was booked on the above charge with a bond set at $100,000.
