NEWS: Amarillo Sox sign ex-big leaguer

[Amarillo, TX]- The Amarillo Sox Baseball Club announced that an agreement has been signed with ex-big leaguer Jason Johnson.
Johnson made his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 27, 1997. Johnson during his career has pitched for 8 different major league teams. Johnson’s career stats are 56 wins, 100 losses, a 4.99 career era with 810 strikeouts.
Sox manager Bobby Brown says “Jason will give us a solid #1 starting pitcher and also an excellent teammate in the clubhouse”.
GM Mark Lee agreed saying, “Jason will be a great addition to our staff and our team. I know people will look at the 100 losses, but I can tell you, you have to be pretty good to lose a 100 games."
