It's been a big week in local news, and for those who missed it, a short review of recent events follows. A meeting of the Commissioners Court set the stage for a week of action taken by Hutchinson County.

The week will begin with a meeting of the Borger Independent School District Board at 6:00 p.m. at 200 E 9th Street. As the one of the last board meetings before the start of the new year, it should provide key information for parents who want to stay in the loop.
An accident outside the Walmart Supercenter parking lot occured at 136 and Roosevelt earlier this morning at 10:00 a.m. Preliminary reports seem to indicate relatively minor injuries were sustained by victims. (Photo by Don Rice)
Thursday: A special meeting of the Hutchinson County Commissioners will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Stinnett's Courthouse. The meeting will decide the immediate future of Borger's library, and whether or not it will be reopened for service.
