The Hutchinson County Oil Patch Extravaganza is now just a few weeks away!
HOPE 2010 is set to be held Sept. 25, 2010, at Crutch Ranch. The theme for this year’s event is “HOPEWOOD, Lights, Action, Cure!” The event is held annually as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a welcome party for sponsors and underwriters. Appetizers will served and gaming will begin. A general admission welcome will be held at 7 p.m. and the silent auction will open. Also taking place during this time will be the Spirit of HOPE, Stop By Promotions to purchase HOPE ‘10 caps and t-shirts, and the purchasing of tickets for the raffle.
At 8 p.m., dinner will be served, and is being prepared by Joe’s Catering. Around 8:45 p.m., Honorary Chair Lowell Dixon will be recognized, and an ACS donor awards presentation will be held. The silent auction will be closed at this time.
A live auction will be held at 9 p.m., and at 9:30 p.m. country music band Sawyer Brown will take the stage. The silent auction will resume at this time.
At 11 p.m., the Bubbles and Bling winner will be announced. 130 glasses filled with champagne will be available for $100 each. With each glass purchased, a person will receive a special gift and a chance of winning a $5,000 gift certificate to Duncan and Boyd Jewelers. The drinks will be first-come, first-serve. During that time, the raffle ticket winner will also be announced. The grand prize is a three night getaway to Beverly Hills, Calif., which includes airfare for two and lodging at the world-famous Beverly Hilton, host to the Golden Globe Awards. The trip is valued at $1,800.
